Shona McDiarmid has run her own highly successful dance school for the past 20 years training students in all genres from Classical ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobats and Singing. 

She is a Qualified Teacher with the Commonwealth Society Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) and has travelled for the last 10 years, taking her students to various competitions all across the world including Las Vegas, New York, Melbourne, Sydney & Gold Coast. 

Shona grew up dancing with her Godmother Shirley Halliday and completed all her Examinations in all genres from beginners to advanced. 

She successfully competed in all competitions and performed as a child regularly on Channel 7’s Fat Cat Funtime Show and Channel 9’s Perth Young Entertainers.

Shona was also guided by her mother who had a dance school for 15 years.   As a teacher, Shona went on to win numerous awards for her Choreography on many occasions.  Her students have been seen in many shows such as Annie The Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and most recently The Dream Dance Company “Enter the Vortex”, Directed by Marko Panzic. 

Shona’s love for Dance has now taken her to a new path of Adjudicating Nationally and working as a Choreographer and Elite Performance Coach.   The decision to close her school 2 years ago has given her more time to spend with her young family.
